The Delhi Police on Sunday arrested Disha Ravi, a 21-year-old climate activist, from Bangalore for sharing a ‘#toolkit’ on social media related to farmers’ demonstrations. Now in this case a Delhi court has made non-bailable warrants against activist-lawyer Nikita Jacob and Shantanu.
Police are searching for both and they will be arrested as soon as they get their location. Meanwhile, another important revelation has been revealed in the toolkit case. Sources say Disha and Nikita had a meeting with Mohammad Dhaliwal, a pro-Khalistani and founder of the Poetic Justice Foundation, on Zoom. The aim was to garner massive public support on Twitter on 26 January.

Who is Disha Ravi

Disha Ravi’s father is an athletic coach in Mysore and mother is a housewife. The Delhi Police had informed the Bangalore Police about Disha Ravi’s arrest.
Disha is the founder of Friday for Future
A Delhi court has ordered Disha to be sent to police custody for five days. She is the founder of a campaign called ‘Friday for Future‘. She has completed her graduation from Mount Carmel College. Vogue magazine included Disha in the list of four important black activists of the world who brought the environmental crisis into the mainstream. She regularly writes columns on social media, including news portals and runs climate-related forums for youth and adolescent activists.
Police seized Disha’s laptop and mobile
The police officer said that Disha Ravi’s laptop and mobile have been seized for further investigation. Police are also investigating whether she was in contact with other people involved in the case. Earlier on Friday, the police had asked Google and other social media companies to provide information about email IDs, domain URLs and some social media accounts associated with the creators of the ‘#toolkit’. Climate activist Greta Thunberg shared this toolkit with a tweet in support of farmers.

According to reports, the house of Disha’s family was hit by floods. Disha started looking for reasons for this. She also says that the accountability of politicians should be fixed for such tragedy. Nikita Jacob is an activist and lawyer. The Delhi Police say that the lawyer #toolkit of the Bombay High Court has been absconding since her name came up in the controversy. She used to participate in anti-India campaigns. Police allege that a plan was prepared in their meeting with Dhaliwal on her zoom.

Nikita Jacob has filed a Transit Bell application against the non-bailable warrant in the Bombay High Court. The matter may be heard tomorrow. Regarding the plot of the toolkit, sources said, ‘Four days ago the team of Special Cell went to Nikita Jacob’s house. Their electronic gadgets were investigated. Delhi Police had said that they would come back to question him, but he was not available. The founder of the Poetic Justice Foundation, Mo Dhaliwal, contacted Nikita Jacob through his colleague Puneet. After this Dhaliwal, Nikita, Disha and others had a meeting on zoom before Republic Day. The purpose of this meeting was to mobilize public support on Twitter on the issue of farmers on the occasion of Republic Day.
Shantanu is also an activist. A Delhi court has issued a non-bailable warrant against him on Monday. Police is currently searching for them.
