Top golfers to compete at the Delhi-NCR Open Golf Championship beginning Wednesday
Top stars of the country will be in action at the Delhi-NCR Open Golf Championship 2024, taking place at the Noida Golf Course from April 10–13. The tournament, with a prize purse of INR 1 crore, will feature top Indian professionals and international players.
The sixth edition of the tournament will see players like Veer Ahlawat, SSP Chawrasia, Ajeetesh Sandhu, Manu Gandas, Rashid Khan, and defending champion Gaurav Pratap Singh competing. Other notable golfers from the Delhi-NCR region, including Sachin Baisoya, Shamim Khan, Abhinav Lohan, and Amardeep Malik, will also participate.
International players such as N. Thangaraja and K. Prabagaran from Sri Lanka, Jamal Hossain and Badal Hossain from Bangladesh, and Kevin Esteve Rigaill from Andorra will add to the competition. PGTI Qualifying School winner Matias Dominguez from Chile, along with amateurs from the Noida Golf Course, will also showcase their skills.
Dr. Steven Menezes, Secretary of the Noida Golf Course, expressed excitement for the return of the Delhi-NCR Open. He mentioned the opportunity for members to witness high-quality golfing action and showcase the course to a wide audience through live telecast.
Uttam Singh Mundy, CEO of PGTI, highlighted the significance of the Delhi-NCR Open as a major event in the golfing calendar. He acknowledged the support from Noida Golf Course and predicted a competitive finish similar to the previous edition decided in a playoff.
