Tristan Sherry GoFundMe: Funeral Fundraiser Set Up By Dublin Shooting Suspect’s Family

Tristan Sherry’s family is currently the suspect of being involved in the shooting incident that occurred on Christmas Eve in Dublin at Browne’s Steakhouse. Moreover, to cover the funeral expenses of Tristan Sherry, his family has initiated a campaign on the GoFundMe page.

On December 24, 2023 evening, on Christmas Eve, inside a restaurant, Tristan Sherry attempted to attack a father and son duo. He shot Jason Hennessy Snr, the father three times. However, after that, Sherry was fatally stabbed to death. On December 26, 2023, Tuesday morning, Marey Hand, Sherry’s mother launched the fundraiser. Until now the GoFundMe page received a total of 34 donations.

On the fundraising page, the deceased’s mother Hand wrote, “Hi my name is Marey Hand and my son was murdered on Christmas Eve, his name was Tristan Sherry. We made this to raise money for his funeral cost in this difficult time. We are heartbroken that this has happened. He was well known for his love of motorcycles and was loved by many. He was an amazing Son, Brother, Father, and Friend. We can’t believe life has to go on without him.”

At the James Connolly Memorial Hospital, the father who got shot fatally at the Browne’s Steakhouse, Jason Hennessy Snr is given treatment. The victim is reported to be in a serious condition. The victim’s son who is in his 20s was not at all injured in the shooting incident. The attack was condemned by Helen McEntee, the Justice Minister. He emphasized the senselessness of the violence that occurred during one of the auspicious times of the year.

The Justice Minister, Helen McEntee wrote on X, formerly Twitter, “I deplore the violence in Blanchardstown. This viciousness has resulted in unimaginable human suffering this Christmas. That anyone could perpetrate such violence as families gathered together is especially disgusting. I’m thinking of the bereaved, those who were at the scene, and indeed all the emergency service personnel working tonight and over Christmas who have to deal with this senseless violence.”

Moreover, authorities have requested the public and urged them to contact local police if any information is found.
