Trump calls on Alabama lawmakers to protect IVF treatment after court ruling

Former US President Donald Trump has called on Alabama lawmakers to protect fertility treatment, specifically supporting the availability of IVF. Trump made his statement after a recent Alabama Supreme Court ruling resulted in some clinics pausing IVF treatment.

“We want to make it easier for mothers and fathers to have babies, not harder!” Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social. He emphasized his strong support for IVF, aligning with the overwhelming majority of Americans, including Republicans, Conservatives, Christians, and Pro-Life individuals.

Trump urged the Alabama Legislature to act swiftly to preserve IVF availability in the state, emphasizing the importance of the Republican Party standing on the side of “the Miracle of Life”. He stressed IVF as a crucial aspect of supporting families in their journey towards parenthood.

The recent ruling by the Alabama Supreme Court granted frozen embryos the same rights as children, leading to at least three clinics in the state pausing their IVF services. Trump’s public statement aims to bring attention to the issue and urge a resolution to ensure the continued availability of IVF in Alabama.
