Trump has not yet responded to President Zelensky's invitation to visit Ukraine: FM
The Ukrainian authorities are still waiting for a response from former US President Donald Trump or his team regarding an invitation to visit Ukraine, as reported by Ukrinform news agency on Sunday. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba mentioned this in an interview with a US media portal, highlighting the importance of bipartisan support for Ukraine.
Kuleba emphasized the need for support at the level of voters, stating, “American politicians follow their voters.” He also mentioned that they have not yet received a response from Trump or his team, but they would consider it if one is received.
In January, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky extended an invitation to Trump to visit Kiev after he pledged to end the war “very quickly” if he won this year’s election. The Ukrainian government is eager to engage with the US administration and hopes for a positive response to their invitation.
