Often fake news becomes viral and with the advent of modern AI-based technology videos are created it look very genuine even though it can be deciphered with some effort. The latest in this trend is the Claim of skinwalkers in Ohio school which has since been found to be false.

In the middle of September, a video that showed a school going into lockdown because of the presence of “skinwalkers” on campus went viral online. The video revealed the students being whisked to safety as a precaution. The students waited patiently for further instructions. The students were clearly visible as being greatly distressed as they were being escorted to safety from the creature.

Despite the video being purported as true and looking very genuine, the clip was later found to be totally false and misleading. The video soon became very viral and featured on most of the social media platforms.

The video was first posted on the social media site TikTok by a user named @killerclownstiktok. The video soon became viral and in a short passage of time raked in more than 30 million views. The video read:

“reports of skinwalkers sighted at school in ohio September 17th 2023”

The video also featured a voice which was announcing that there is an emergency and asked the students as well as the staff to proceed to internal lockdown. It also repeated that this is not a drill and the emergency service 911 has been summoned. The announcement also asked everyone to remain calm and not to panic.

The video also showed teachers guiding the students to safety and the terror was clearly palpable on the faces of the students.

The clip also made its way to YouTube as well. One YouTuber described the video as “Skinwalkers Sighted at school in Ohio September 18th 2023.”

However the video may seem very much real BUT IT IS A FAKE.

The creature in the video is a fake and it is just like any fictional creature like Godzilla and is a product of fiction by a prank-seeking brain. There are no dearths of creatures which are all the product of imagination like unicorns, Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster, chupacabra, etc. The skinwalkers in the Viral TikTok Ohio 2023 video are another fake creation.
