Two die during treatment after accident in UP

In a tragic incident in Lucknow, a woman and a 13-year-old girl died during treatment at King George’s Medical University after sustaining injuries in an accident. The incident took place in the Arjunganj area on Saturday night involving a police vehicle, leaving 11 people injured.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh each for the families of the deceased victims and Rs 50,000 for the injured individuals. He personally visited the injured persons in the hospital on Sunday along with DGP Prashant Kumar and principal home secretary Sanjay Prasad.

The accident occurred when an anti-demonstration vehicle collided with a stray animal’s carcass on the road, leading to a chain reaction of hitting other cars and overturning. It is important to note that the vehicle involved was a local police car and not part of the Chief Minister’s convoy.

The tragic outcome of the accident has highlighted the need for road safety and better measures to prevent such incidents in the future. Our thoughts are with the families of the victims and wishing a speedy recovery to the injured individuals.
