Two people die in building collapse in Delhi’s Kabir Nagar

Two workers were killed and one injured in a tragic incident when a two-storey building collapsed in northeast Delhi’s Kabir Nagar area. The building was being used as a garment factory. The deceased were identified as Arshad (30) and Tauhid (20) while the injured Rehan (22) is in critical condition.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (northeast) Joy Tirkey informed that the collapse occurred at 2:16 a.m. at Gali No. 4, Kabir Nagar. A police team rushed to the spot and managed to extract all three workers trapped under the debris. Unfortunately, two of them were declared brought dead while the third worker is currently in critical condition at GTB Hospital.

The owner of the building, identified as Shahid, is being sought by authorities. Legal action will be taken in the matter as the investigation progresses. Director of Delhi Fire Service (DFS) Atul Garg stated that four fire tenders were dispatched to the scene and the search operation is ongoing to ensure no more victims are trapped.
