UP: BJP MLA Ramesh Chandra Diwakar of Auraiya dies from Corona

Uttar Pradesh BJP MLA Ramesh Diwakar has died of Corona infection. The MLA was undergoing treatment at Meerut Medical College. Assembly Speaker Hriday Narayan Dixit, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya have mourned the death of the MLA. Ramesh Chandra Diwakar, a Bharatiya Janata Party MLA from Auraiya district, was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Meerut after he got infected with the coronavirus. Diwakar, who was a good player of Kho-Kho in student life, died on Friday in the Medical Center Hospital of Medical College, Meerut. He was admitted for four days.

Ramesh Chandra Diwakar was admitted for four days

On Monday, the report of Corona virus infection by Auraiya Sadar MLA Ramesh Chandra Diwakar came back positive. He was admitted to Meerut Medical College. Where he died during treatment today. He was admitted to Meerut Medical College due to worsening condition in Auraiya. Assembly Speaker Hriday Narayan Dixit wrote condolences that Ramesh Diwakar is saddened by the death due to corona infection. Dixit has prayed to God to place the departed soul at his feet and give the bereaved family the strength to bear this immense sorrow.

CM, Deputy CM expressed grief

Chief Minister Yogi while paying tribute to the death of the MLA said that the news of the demise of Ramesh Diwakar ji of the Bharatiya Janata Party MLA from Auraiya district is sad. It is a prayer to Lord Rama that the departed soul should be given peace and strength to the family to overcome this sorrow.

Expressing grief over the death of the MLA, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasada Maurya wrote that the mind is distressed due to the untimely demise of Ramesh Diwakar Ji, a rich and humble personality of MLA and popular MLA from Auraiya Sadar. I pay my humble tribute to the saint and pray to God to grant peace to the departed soul and the family and supporters to bear this grief.

Diwakar was associated with BJP for two decades

Ramesh Diwakar, 56, living in Mohalla Tilak Nagar in Auraiya city, was working in the political social sphere by joining BJP and Sangh ideology for more than two decades. Ramesh Diwakar, who was BJP’s district president in Auraiya, had demanded a ticket from Etawah Secure Lok Sabha constituency in 2009 and 2014. The party fielded him as its candidate from Auraiya Secure Assembly Constituency in the 2017 assembly elections. In which he won.
