UP government says ODOP is helping traders and artisans

Lucknow, March 21 (IANS) – The One District One Product (ODOP) Scheme in Uttar Pradesh has been a game-changer for handicraft traders, as it has boosted their innovative skills and business acumen. According to a government spokesman, the next step in ODOP involves setting up incubation centers to help entrepreneurs adapt to technological advancements and integrate AI into their operations.

The spokesman emphasized the need for MSME units to evolve with the changing business landscape and stay updated on recent practices and trends. Pranjal Yadav, Secretary of MSME, highlighted the crucial role of MSMEs in generating employment opportunities and commended the state’s efforts to support the sector with various schemes and incentives.

Yadav also praised the government’s initiatives such as the textile policy and textile park, aimed at revitalizing the textile industry. He underscored the state’s commitment to providing a conducive environment for MSMEs through measures like single-window clearances, ease of doing business reforms, and tailored infrastructure development projects.

“The state’s intent and action reflect in its support for MSMEs, ensuring a robust economy,” Yadav stated, emphasizing the government’s dedication to offering a range of incentives for the growth and prosperity of MSMEs and SMEs in Uttar Pradesh.
