UP Minister Rajbhar: Akhilesh intentionally pushed away allies

Lucknow, March 26 (IANS) Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) president and Uttar Pradesh Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar has accused Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav of intentionally driving away allies to benefit the BJP. Rajbhar made these statements while speaking to reporters at his residence on Tuesday.

Rajbhar claimed that Akhilesh Yadav has instructed all his allies to align with the BJP, stating, “If you stay here there will be a fight.” This move, according to Rajbhar, is a strategic decision by Akhilesh to support the ruling party.

The SBSP chief criticized the opposition unity, stating, “After some time, some people of the opposition unity will make Modiji the Prime Minister and some people will step aside.” He cited examples of Nitish Kumar, Jayant Chaudhary, and Mamata Banerjee distancing themselves, with Akhilesh Yadav now following suit.

Rajbhar alleged that Akhilesh Yadav has marginalized most allies, indicating a shift towards supporting the BJP. He claimed that Akhilesh is advising everyone to join the BJP to avoid conflict. Rajbhar believes that Akhilesh’s actions are driven by a desire to protect himself.

The Minister also commented on the functioning of investigative agencies, stating, “Today the agencies have the freedom within the ambit of the Constitution and while they are working, the opposition people are raising a hue and cry.” This statement comes amidst ongoing political developments ahead of the upcoming elections.

The allegations made by Om Prakash Rajbhar against Akhilesh Yadav have sparked controversies and raised questions about the political strategies being employed in the state. The situation continues to unfold as the political landscape in Uttar Pradesh remains dynamic.
