UP police announce reward on missing accused in Badaun murder case

Badaun, March 21 (IANS) – The Uttar Pradesh Police have put a bounty of Rs 25,000 on Javed, the second accused in the Badaun double murder case, as he remains at large. Javed, the brother of the deceased main accused Sajid, was reportedly present at the scene and fled with his brother after the crime.

According to reports, Javed was waiting on his motorbike as Sajid entered the victims’ house to demand money for his wife’s treatment. After the killings, Javed drove away with Sajid on his motorbike, leaving a trail of shock and horror in the neighborhood.

In a surprising turn of events, it has been revealed that Sajid’s wife, whom he claimed was hospitalized for delivery, is not even pregnant. She has been residing at her maternal home in the Binawar area for the past 15 days, as confirmed by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Alok Priyadarshi.
