UP police officers assigned to election duty to receive special summer kits to combat the heat
Police personnel on poll duty in Uttar Pradesh will receive special summer travel kits this year to combat the hot weather conditions. Each kit will include first aid boxes, fruits, biscuits, water bottles, essential medicines, and ORS powder, in addition to armed service weapons and magazines. This initiative aims to ensure the well-being of around 5,000 policemen from seven districts of Prayagraj zone who are assigned poll duties in western UP.
According to Additional Director General Bhanu Bhaskar, the decision to provide summer kits was made in response to the increasing temperatures and sweltering weather conditions. The police administration has made necessary arrangements to dispatch batches of policemen to the designated districts for election duties. The kits will be distributed to each personnel before their movement for duty.
The policemen from districts like Banda, Chitrakoot, Mahoba, Hamirpur, Kaushambhi, Pratapgarh, and Fatehpur will be dispatched in batches starting Monday for the upcoming elections. Health experts have provided guidelines to the cops on preventive measures to protect them from heat wave conditions. This proactive measure aims to ensure the safety and comfort of the police personnel while they carry out their election duties in western UP.
