Lucknow, March 22 (IANS) – Uttar Pradesh Police have issued directives to ensure peace and prevent any law and order issues during Holi. The leaves of all police officers and personnel will be cancelled to maintain availability for duty.

Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP), Prashant Kumar, has instructed field police officers to take decisive action against those disrupting law and order. District police chiefs are advised to involve community leaders in mixed areas to assist in maintaining peace.

Mobile policing and quick reaction teams will be active during Holi, with special deployment at strategic points. Additional police personnel have been assigned to sensitive districts and trouble spots, with a list of troublemakers to be monitored closely.

The measures are being taken to prevent incidents of hooliganism and ensure a safe and peaceful celebration of Holi. The Uttar Pradesh Police are leaving no stone unturned to maintain order and security during the festive period.
