UP Police to investigate all aspects of SDM’s death case

The Azamgarh police have initiated an investigation into the death of Alok Kumar Singh, a 43-year-old Sub Divisional Magistrate in Ghazipur district, who was found hanging at his ancestral house in Budhanpur town. Singh was reportedly suffering from depression following the death of his wife last year.

Singh, a PCS officer of the 2003 batch, had been on leave for the past 15 days and had returned to his native village. His father, Kripa Shankar Singh, mentioned that the officer, who has two daughters, was alone at home when the incident occurred. The family members informed the police, and the body has been sent for a post-mortem examination.

“We are probing the matter from all angles,” stated the police spokesperson. The authorities are currently awaiting the post-mortem report to determine the cause of Singh’s death. Despite ongoing investigations, no suicide note has been discovered at the scene.

The tragic death of Alok Kumar Singh has shocked the community, with his colleagues and family members left devastated by the unexpected loss. As the authorities delve further into this case, many are grappling with the reasons that may have led to this unfortunate event.
