Taking a big step to help the Afghan government, the US on Friday carried out airstrikes on Taliban Camps. Several militants are reported to have been killed in this attack.
Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said in a statement that over the past several days, we conducted air strikes on Taliban camps across the country to support the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces.
On Wednesday and Thursday, the US military carried out more than four airstrikes supporting Afghan security forces. At least two of these attacks were aimed at military equipment seized by the Taliban from Afghan forces, and others targeted Taliban positions. These included an attack in the southern province of Kandahar.
Significantly, with the start of the withdrawal of foreign forces from Afghanistan, the situation has started deteriorating. After the withdrawal of American troops is almost complete, America has conducted airstrikes to help the war-torn country.
President Joe Biden ordered the US military to end its mission in Afghanistan by August 31, days before its original September 11 deadline. The US Central Command said that by last week more than 95% of the troops had returned.
