US President to gather G7 leaders for ‘joint diplomatic reaction’ to Iran’s assault on Israel

US President Joe Biden has announced that he will convene leaders of the G7 countries to coordinate a diplomatic response to Iran’s attack against Israel. This decision comes after a phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, where Biden reaffirmed America’s commitment to Israel’s security.

During the call, Biden praised Israel for its ability to defend against unprecedented attacks and sent a clear message to its enemies. He condemned the attacks carried out by Iran and its proxies operating in Yemen, Syria, and Iraq, and emphasized that US forces in the region helped intercept most of the incoming drones and missiles.

The attacks were in retaliation to an Israeli missile strike on the Iranian consulate in Damascus on April 1. The US stands in solidarity with Israel and will work with the G7 countries to coordinate a united diplomatic response. This move aims to address the escalating tensions in the region and ensure the safety and security of Israel.
