Today (24 January 2022) is Uttar Pradesh Foundation Day or Uttar Pradesh Day. Along with the population, religious places, culture, and literature, the largest Indian state also remains in a discussion about politics.

Uttar Pradesh Day is celebrated every year on 24 January. Uttar Pradesh is the largest state in the country on the basis of population. The known history of Uttar Pradesh is about 4000 years old when the Aryans made their first steps at this place.

Uttar Pradesh Day History

It is said that when the Aryans came to this state in 2000 BC, the foundation of Hindu culture was laid in this state. The Sunga, Kushan, Gupta, Pala, Rashtrakuta, then the Mughals kept this land in the heart of their empire which was created by the Nanda and Maurya dynasty from the period of 400 BC. This state has not only been the land of Hindu culture but also the story of the inspirational past of Buddhism.

In the year 1989, January 24 was first celebrated as Uttar Pradesh Day in Maharashtra. Amarjeet Mishra’s best efforts were involved in this event. He also tried to celebrate this day in Uttar Pradesh, but his efforts were not successful. When Union Minister Ram Naik became the Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Amarjit Mishra put his proposal to him and he also agreed with him.

Significance, and Importance

This state was called Bramharshi Desh or Madhya Desh in the Vedic period. During the Mughal period, it was divided at the regional level. Since the establishment of Uttar Pradesh till now many changes have been seen in it. Uttar Pradesh Day or Uttar Pradesh Foundation Dayis a special occasion to celebrate the glorious history, culture, and traditions of this state.

This year, a three-day Uttar Pradesh Foundation Day celebration will be organized by the UP government from January 24 to 26. This state is known for architecture, painting, music, choreography. This state is the heritage of the ancient civilization of Hindus. Notable parts of Vedic literature Mantra, Manusmriti, Valmiki Ramayana, and Mahabharata are alive in many ashrams here.
