History

Let me tell you, it is a matter of 270 AD. There was a king in the Roman Empire. The name was Claudius Gothicus II. It is said that he was strictly against love affairs and love marriage. He used to believe that by love or marriage, soldiers will forget their goals and will lose the war. That’s why he banned the marriage of soldiers.

There was a saint in the same kingdom. Whose name was Valentine? He opposed this order. Claudius put Saint Valentine to death. It is believed that the date on which Saint Valentine made the sacrifice was February 14. Since then this day was started to celebrate as Valentine’s Day.

Significance, and Importance

Valentine’s Day is celebrated all over the world on 14 February every year. It is also called St. Valentine’s Day and St. Valentine’s Feast. This day is dedicated to the celebration of love. Whereas in reality, it began as a small Western Christian Feast to honor the martyr St. Valentine. Later it was associated with love with legend. You can celebrate this festival of love with homemade cards, sweets, roses, romantic dates, spending time with friends and there are many other ways to celebrate it. You can go for a romantic dinner or lunch or spend time at a romantic place.

Celebration Activities

Candles add to the decoration. You can decorate candles at the door of the house. One can make a path by lighting candles on the side of the gate and on the way inside. When this path made of candles ends, you can surprise your partner by keeping a gift. Candlelight can create an atmosphere of dinner by using candles in dinner too.

Instead of going out somewhere, you can plan a picnic at home. Decorate the living room well, then play the music of your partner’s choice and make the food of your partner’s choice different from the rest of the day, which will make the partner happy.
