Van Mahotsav 2022: Posters, Drawings, Slogans, Messages, Images, Quotes, Wishes, To Share
Van Mahotsav is a festival organized every year in the first week of July in India. This festival is organized by the Government of India to encourage tree plantation. Forests are very important for us because forests are very important in maintaining the balance between nature and human life. Someone has rightly said that forest is life. Human beings get medicine, wood, fruits, sandalwood, and many other things from trees. Such cutting of forests is inviting natural calamities. Now only 20% of the forests are left in India. Van Mahotsav is celebrated in the country to bring awareness among the people about forests. Van Mahotsav has been declared a national festival. This year this day will be celebrated from Friday, July 1, 2022.
According to tv9hindi.com, The country’s first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, and Maulana Abdul Kalam together started celebrating Van Mahotsav in the first week of July. After that in 1950, it was officially released by Agriculture Minister Kanhaiya Lal Munshi. This festival is celebrated every year on 1st July as Van Mahotsav Day and lasts for a week. It is a national festival. During this time more than one lakh trees are planted all over India.
We celebrate in many ways in our life. People actively participate in family, social, religious, and national festivals. But Van Mahotsav is above all such a festival that gives true happiness to our life. Man is not planting as many trees as he is cutting. If there are no forests, we will not get many invaluable materials, and most importantly, there will be no rain. If there is no rain, there will be a water problems and there will be drought. We should do our duty seriously by joining this campaign.
