Veteran Comedy Actor Satish Kaushik Passes Away At 66 Due To Cardiac Arrest, Confirms Anupam Kher

Early on Thursday morning, Bollywood movie director and actor Satish Kaushik, best known for his performances in movies like “Mr. India”, “Saajan Chale Sasural”, “Scam 1992”, “Swarg” and many more, unexpectedly passed away at the age of 66. According to reports, Kaushik passed away after a cardiac arrest while driving. Kaushik tried to be revived, but on March 9 he passed away.

His remains have been sent to Deendayal Hospital for an autopsy, and his final rites will be performed once it is returned to his folks at roughly 3 p.m. Anupam Kher, a friend, and National Award-winning actor, tweeted to confirm Kaushik’s passing.

In Satish Kaushik’s passing, many Bollywood celebrities as well as politicians, and ministers showered condolences. Home Minister Amit Shah went to Twitter to tweet about the actor and his greatest contributions to the Indian Cinema Industry. Kangana Ranaut is also shocked and tweeted a picture with the actor to give condolences. Meanwhile, other tweets have been embedded.

Satish Kaushik Career

On April 13, 1956, Satish Kaushik was born in Haryana. Before breaking into Bollywood, Kaushik was indeed a theatre performer. In movies like “Soorma” (2018), “Udta Punjab” (2016), “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan” (1998), “Saajan Chale Sasural” (1996), “Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron” (1983), and earliest being “Mr. India” (1987), he was well known for his presentations.

Moreover, he appeared in Sharmaji Namkeen, Rishi Kapoor’s final movie, which was made available on Amazon Prime Video in 2022. The unconventional performer further received the Filmfare Best Comic Award for his roles in Saajan Chale Sasural (1997) and Ram Lakhan (1990). “Kaagaz” (2021), “Dhol” (2007), “Tere Naam” (2003), “Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai” (2000), and “Roop ki Rani Choron ka Raja” (1993) are some of the other movies Kaushik is renowned for directing.
