Vibha Chibber opts for understated Holi festivities; Meera Deosthale indulges in ‘ghugra’ tradition

Mumbai, March 24 (IANS) As Holi approaches, actors Vibha Chibber and Meera Deosthale share their fondest memories of the festival, their skincare routines, and plans for this year. Vibha Chibber, known for her role in ‘Mehndi Wala Ghar’, emphasizes the importance of celebrating with family and friends while using organic colors and saving water.

Vibha Chibber, who portrays Janaki Maa in the show ‘Mehndi Wala Ghar’, expressed, “For me, no festival feels complete without my family. I usually prefer to keep the celebrations low-key with my family and friends, enjoying the food, sweets, and festivities to the fullest. I fondly recall my childhood days when the entire family would gather prior to Holika dahan, and I am looking forward to that this year as well.”

“This time, I’m glad to be celebrating the festival with my new family — the team at ‘Mehndi Wala Ghar’. We all plan to celebrate it with organic colours and without wasting any water. I would like to wish everyone a very happy Holi and urge everyone to save water,” she added.

Meera Deosthale, known for her role as Nandini in ‘Kuch Reet Jagat Ki Aisi Hai’, shared her childhood memories of Holi, recalling how friends in Vadodra would gather, apply oil to prevent staining, and enjoy sweets like Ghugra made with a mother’s love. She emphasized the enjoyment of food and the excitement of playing with mischief during Holi.

The show featuring both actors airs on Sony. Holi, known as the festival of colors, signifies the victory of good over evil and the arrival of spring. With the festive spirit in the air, Vibha Chibber and Meera Deosthale’s heartfelt memories of Holi serve as a reminder of the joy and camaraderie associated with the celebration.
