After Ijeoma Ukenta, a black woman, posted a video of Abigail Elphick, a white woman got the tag of, “Victoria’s Secret Karen.”

Two years ago during the (COVID-19 period) on YouTube, Ijeoma Ukenta posted a video of Abigail Elphick.

In the video, Abigail Elphick could be spotted reaching out to Ukenta Ijeoma’s phone. However as soon as the video started filming, the former sat on the floor, covered her face, and started crying.

However, she refused all sorts of accusations on her about hitting Ukenta. The video garnered a total of three million views on YouTube.

In the video, she could be heard saying, “Don’t record my mental breakdown- please, please, please.”

According to The New York Times, as per the filings in the court, it has been revealed that Abigail Elphick is a patient with various psychological and medical conditions.

Ijeoma Ukenta was a customer who went to the Victoria’s Secret outlet to get a pair of free underwear with the coupon she had. While being on the counter, Elphick stood close to Ukenta, on which she demanded the white woman, Abigail Elphick to maintain mandatory distance from her, as per the COVID-19 prevention guidelines. However, later a fight escalated between both.

After this incident Ukenta raised over $100,000 from a GoFundMe fundraising campaign to sue the company, Victoria’s Secret along with Abigail Elphick, as she complained the brand didn’t take any action in the matter.

Ukenta claimed that the security of the company was highly negligent towards the matter and she was being treated as an antagonist.

Abigail Elphick claimed that she has a disorder and is currently struggling with mental health issues. She lives in a residential complex that is reserved for people who suffer from developmental and intellectual disabilities.

Reports also mention that Abigail has been hospitalized several times in the past for suicidal imagination and self-harm, and has been on pharmaceutical support since she was just 12 years old. She also has seizures, migraines, and chronic pain symptoms, the documents added.

According to the court documents, her lawyers stated that she is in a mental meltdown because of the prevailing fear of losing her job.

In an interview with The New York Times, Abigail Elphick expressed an apology for her behavior adding that she was not being racist or violent with Ijeoma Ukenta. Abigail added that she was having panic in the video.
