According to news reports, Jesus Rafael Diaz fell victim to a robber posing as a customer. The disturbing incident was caught on camera. It all began when the robber tried to obtain his phone’s password. In a short time, Rafael’s life came to an end, leaving the audience connected to his livestream shocked.

It should be noted that this is not the first time, the ride-share driver in Mexico has been shot to death. Last November, a photojournalist and part-time share-ride driver at InDrive, Ismael Villagomez Tapia was also killed in the same manner.

Lately, crimes have become a cause for concern in the country. The incident triggered ride-share drivers, leading to a traffic blockage by a group on the streets in front of government offices. They demand justice and better protection laws. This move comes in response to the growing realization that drivers are not safe on the city streets.

Police Investigation

A police investigation is underway to determine the identity of the murderer. Two boys and three men have been arrested for possessing a 9mm handgun believed to have been used in the shooting of Rafael. Allegedly, the group was apprehended for public intoxication near the corner of Fuerza Aerea and Medico Militar streets in the Toribio Ortega area. Furthermore, they were found in possession of crystal meth. The investigation continues to unfold as authorities piece together the details of the crime.
