Chase Bank recently was under a huge scam that took place, causing them to lose out on money.
So, a TikTok trend started when people discovered a glitch in the Chase Bank system, stating that people could deposit any amount of checks to the bank and withdraw cash that was not even in the account.
TikTok Trend Exploits Chase Bank Glitch
People learned about it and started taking full advantage of the so-called glitch.
Many people posted about this scam as well, and many also deposited fake checks to get money out of the bank.
Now, the glitch is not a glitch but a scam and a fraud, which is also known as check fraud.
Chase Bank has warned and sent out notices that these actions are illegal and not just a harmless TikTok joke, which suddenly became very famous online.
The bank has also fixed the bug, and they are working to get their money back.
The people who were included in the scam, had their accounts deducted with a minor banking amount, which means now they owe Chase Bank loads of money because of what they did.
Jim Wang, who is a financial educator, explained this issue online.
Jim said using money that is not yours or taking it from the bank when there’s a glitch in the system could lead people into serious legal issues.
Jim also said that if one finds money that’s unexplained in their accounts, they should not spend it until and unless they’re 100% sure that it belongs to them.
If money that is not theirs is spent, that could lead people into serious financial and legal troubles by the judiciary.
The situation with Chase Bank’s trend reminds that whatever goes on on social media is not true, and everything should not be followed by people blindly.
Proofreading and fact-checking should be done before any steps are taken based on whatever a person has seen on social media.
