On Friday, Vivo revealed its latest additions to its foldable smartphone line-up in China – the Vivo X Fold 2 and the Vivo X Flip. These new foldable handsets are highly foreseen, significantly since there have been multiple foldable smartphone blastoffs in demand in the past few months. Earlier to their launch, there were numerous assertions and leaks about the phones. The all-new Vivo X Fold 2 and Vivo X Flip are being presented in numerous storage opportunities and come in three different colors. Vivo X Fold 2 with a 12GB RAM+256GB storage model is offered at around ₹1,07,500 (¥8,999) and a 12GB RAM+512GB storage model is priced at around ₹1,19,400 (¥9,999). On the other hand, the Vivo X Flip comes in Ling Purple, Diamond Black, and Silk Gold color options and is public with a 12GB RAM+256GB storage variant fixed at around ₹71,600 (¥5,999) and a 12GB RAM+512 GB storage variant priced at around ₹80,000 (¥6,699).

The latest Vivo handset boasts an 8.03-inch E6 AMOLED LTPO inner display, which delivers a decisiveness of 2,160×1,916px and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, with an extreme brightness of up to 1,800 nits. This inner display also sustains HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. Additionally, the handset comes with a 6.53-inch AMOLED outer screen that presents a resolution of 2,520×1,080px, a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, and a peak brightness of up to 1,600 nits. The outer display features a SCHOTT UTG glass cover.
Running on OriginOS 3 with Android 13 out-of-the-box, the Vivo X Fold 2 is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and offers up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS4.0 internal storage.
The triple rear camera setup of the Vivo X Fold 2 features a 50-megapixel Sony IMCX866 primary camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens. On the front, the 16-megapixel selfie camera is situated in a hole-punch slot. Further, the handset comes readied with Vivo’s in-house imaging chip V2.

The Vivo X Flip is powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS3.1 internal storage. It runs on Android 13-based OriginOS 3.
The rear camera setup of the Vivo X Flip features a dual camera module with a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens. The 32-megapixel front-facing camera is positioned at the center of the top edge.
The Vivo X Flip is fueled by a 4,400mAh battery that supports 44W fast charging technology. The flipable handset is compatible with 5G and 4G networks and comes with Wi-Fi 802.11 ax, Bluetooth v5.3 LE, GPS, and a USB Type-C port for connectivity.
