WATCH HORRIFYING VIDEOS: Himachal Pradesh’s Kullu Cloudburst Leaves At Least 1 Dead, 3 Injured

In a shocking turn of events, a cloudburst in Himachal Pradesh’s Kullu district Kyas village leaves three injured and at least one dead. The incident occurred during the early hours of Monday. In the morning around 3.55 a.m heavy rain with lashing lighting in the region caused the incident. Because of the mishap one was killed right on the spot while the other was left injured because of the flown vehicle as per the State’s Emergency Operation Centre. Right after the incident rescue team was sent to the spot. 

Himachal Pradesh’s Kullu Cloudburst

Lately, the state has seen many incidents including 53 landside and 41 flash floods. Additionally, 800 roads in the state have been blocked to avoid further incidents due to heavy rainfall. The heavy rainfall all around the state so far has caused a loss of ₹4,414.95 crore as per government data. 

The heavy rainfall has damaged many areas of the State and intermittent showers are still going on leaving many roads blocked including national highways. Landslides caused severe damage to the transport of the State. The pounding rain has made crops overflow with water through Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, and Punjab state. 

Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, state Chief Minister stated that the state is prepared to safely evacuate the 70,000 visitors who were struck because of heavy rainfall. Out of which, 250 travelers were rescued from snow-bound Chandertal Lake near the Lahaul and Spiti regions. 

A team is also being sent to the state by the Central government to assess the damage as per the statement by the Chief Minister but no financial statement has been sent so far.
