In the latest development, with the rising prices of tomatoes in India, people across the country are getting severely impacted by vegetable inflation. Recently a video is going viral showing an ordinary vegetable vendor Rameshwar getting emotional with Congress President Rahul Gandhi.

He sells vegetables near Azadpaur Delhi, he was distressed over the high prices of tomatoes due to which he is struggling to make ends meet. Vegetable inflation has become a cause of concern in India.

Earlier, this week photos of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi talking with vendor over vegetable inflation. Plus, the two also shared a meal over a discussion at Rahul Gandhi’s residence. According to news websites, Rahul invited Rameshwar over to his residence for lunch. 

In the past, Rahul shared a video of him, while visiting the Azadpur mandi area to know what is happening and find out the reason behind soaring prices.

This week, the minute Rahul posted pictures of him with Rameshwar it went viral all over the internet. He posted on Twitter with the caption-  Those who move ahead with a smile even in adverse circumstances are truly ‘Bharat Bhagya Vidhaata'”.

As mentioned above, Rameshwar can be seen crying, quote- “The prices of tomatoes are beyond my means. I lack the necessary funds to make the purchase.” Rameshwar, a resident of Jahangir Puri, had come to the market accompanied by his son with the intention of procuring tomatoes for his retail store.

“We are not even sure at what price we will be able to sell it. If they get damp in the rain or something happens to the stock, we end up making a loss,” the anguished farmer told digital news platform Lallantop.
