Famous Korean boy band BTS consisting of RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook on Tuesday announced that the group is going on a indefinite 'hiatus' to focus on their individual careers.
The announcement came during the group's celebratory dinner, which is part of the annual celebration of their founding. Notably, on Tuesday, BTS celebrated the 9th anniversary of its founding.
The group detailed their plans for solo projects and explained to fans that they 'needed time to take an extended break'.
As soon as BTS announced the group to go on an indefinite 'hiatus' after 9 years, it caught Army's attention, and soon the internet was filled with emotion.
During the FESTA dinner, RM said that while they have made remarkable triumphs as a group,
"the members still need to grow and mature as individual people and artists."
J-Hope said, "We should set aside some time to learn to be one again. I hope you don't see this as a negative thing, and look at it as a healthy plan. I guess That we will become stronger this way."
