The Delhi Police Commissioner said that, “E-pass will be required for many essential services during the weekend curfew. For this, Delhi Police and Delhi Government are issuing e-passes. During this period, journalists can report on the basis of their IDs. However, similar action will be taken against journalists who do not have ID.
Emergency will be exempted from going to hospital during weekend curfew in Delhi. At the same time, doctors can also go to the hospital with their IDs. However vegetable vendors will not require a pass.
Delhi metro service also affected
Metro services will also be affected during the weekend curfew in Delhi. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has announced that, on the weekend of 17 and 18 April, metro rail services will be available in the entire network at an interval of 15 minutes.
Earlier, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced the curfew and said that we will give a curfew pass to people connected with essential services and for weddings. Instructions are being given to close the mall, gym, spa, auditorium. Cinema halls can run at 30% capacity.
