Who is Lydia Pinto? A video of a gym teacher from Bridgewater-Raritan High School New Jersey goes viral on Twitter, Reddit, and Instagram 

A gym teacher from Bridgewater-Raritan High School, Lydia Pinto has been charged with sexually molesting a minor from the age of 14 to his high school senior year. Pinto, girls’ lacrosse and field hockey coach at the school used to engage in sexual relationships with one of her former students.

Her actions hit the limelight when the student filed a case about the abuse in the Bridgewater Police Department through email.

Bridgewater-Raritan High School Teacher Lydia Pinto arrested for sexually molesting her student for 4 years

Recently, on 8 November, Lydia Pinto was arrested by police officials in Franklin, New Jersey after a month-long investigation. John P. McDonald, Somerset County Prosecutor stated in the media that Lydia was involved in a sexual relationship with a minor student for a very long time.

She has been charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault and two counts of second-degree sexual assault.

They further added that the investigation against her started after an anonymous email containing all the details about the sexual behavior of a gym teacher with one of her students for 4 years was sent to the police department. 

Officials from Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office’s S*x Crimes and Child Abuse Unit swiftly identified and talked to the victim who claimed that these encounters happened during his time in Bridgewater-Raritan High School.

Lydia was arrested and sent to Somerset County Jail. According to news reports, she was released on 15 November and is waiting for her court date.
