👔Who Is Pakistan Session Judge Humayun Dilawar? Why He Left Pakistan, Here’s All You Need To Know About Him

In the latest development, Pakistani Additional District and sessions judge Humayun Dilawar has flown to London, England.

He first came into the limelight as the judge who sentenced Imran Khan, former Prime Minister of Pakistan jail for three years. He even imposed a fine of Rs 100,000 on the former Pakistan PM. 

Recently many news websites claimed that he left Pakistan and moved to London with his family. The news has been trending all over the nation as many are speculating that he left his home country due to security reasons.

As mentioned above, he works as Additional District and sessions judge in Pakitan. It was revealed that Humayun Dilawar was included to attend a judicial conference in England on 4th August 2023. Islamabad High Court CJ nominated him as a judge for the renowned conference.

The registrar of the High Court wrote a letter stating that his name has been added for training replacing Judge Faizan Haider.

Additionally, the letter also states that more session judges will also be attending the event at the University of Hull in London. The conference will commence from 5th August to 13th August.

Humayun Dilawar became a national sensation when he sentenced the former Prime Minister of Pakistan and PTI chairman Imran Khan to jail for 3 years as he was found guilty of doing illegal and corrupt practices in the Toshakhana case. 

Imran was also fined to pay Rs 100,000 for his involvement in the case. His imprisonment has changed the course of politics in the country as Pakistan’s elections are next in line. Imran Khan was also found to not own any office areas so he is disqualified for the next 5 years from holding any government office.

The minute the verdict was announced in the ongoing Toshakhana case, Imran Khan was arrested from his residence located in Zaman Park. Later he was taken to Central Jail Attock. In Pakistan, the case got national attention once the EC of Pakistan disqualified him for making incorrect information and wrong results. 

The final verdict stated that Imran Khan in fact was found guilty of carrying out illegal practise under sections 167 and 173 of the constitution.
