Instagram Model Woah Vicky Fakes Her Own Kidnapping In Nigeria, Fans Furious
Instagram model Whoa Vicky, a.k.a. Victoria Rose is facing all round criticism and condemnation for faking her kidnapping in Nigeria and later admitting that she was bored and it was a hoax. Fans of Vicky were not amused and took to social media to air their anger and even asking the authorities to file a criminal case against her. Whoa Vicky has since deleted the tweets and the incident has led to a bad taste in the mouth of many netizens.
Instagram model Whoa Vicky went viral on social media after rumors started circulating that she was kidnapped in Nigeria for a bounty.
A tweet was shared on her account. “I have kidnapped Vicky. She is with me in Nigeria. I am demanding $1million for her release.”
Fans were distressed and rightly so because Nigeria had a reputation of a violence ridden country and kidnapping were a common occurrence.
On Sunday, Whoa Vicky went live on Instagram, admitted to faking her kidnapping, and deleted several of her earlier tweets. She said that she was bored and had fabricated the whole episode.
She also apologized for her act and stated
“Sorry about that, everything’s good ya’ll. I was bored and having fun, just getting a laugh. Just getting a laugh, fam. That’s it. It’s all love, I’m just having fun with my brother, everything’s good.”

She then continued
“We kind of got carried away with the joke, you know, we just like to have fun and joke,” she said. “I don’t drink or go to the club, so this is how I find my entertainment. You know, it’s probably not the best way to do it. I’d probably like reading the Bible or something like that. But sometimes, you know, you want to have a little fun. The Bible said laughter is good for the soul. So I’d be wanting to laugh, and this is how I find that funny.”
Her stunt evoked a harsh backlash on social media.
