Lanning’s half-century, backed by impressive performance from bowlers Jess Jonassen and Radha Yadav, helped Delhi Capitals climb to the top of the points table with their third successive win.
Lanning’s explosive knock of 55 runs off 41 balls, supported by Jonassen’s 3-22 and Radha Yadav’s 3-20, guided Delhi Capitals to a total of 163/8. Jonassen and Yadav then starred with the ball to restrict Gujarat Giants to 138/8 in 20 overs, securing Delhi Capitals’ victory and top spot on the table with a superior Net Run Rate.
