WPL 2024: Yastika Bhatia returns as RCB win toss and choose to bat first against MI in Eliminator

New Delhi, March 15: In the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2024, Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Smriti Mandhana won the toss and elected to bat first against defending champions Mumbai Indians in the Eliminator clash at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Friday. The winner will face Delhi Capitals in the title clash on Sunday.

In their previous meeting, RCB beat MI by seven wickets with Ellyse Perry’s brilliant performance. Smriti Mandhana expressed the importance of setting a good total in the Eliminator match. Both teams are gearing up for a tough battle after their ups and downs in the tournament.

The head-to-head record between MI and RCB in the ongoing season stands at 1-1. Mumbai Indians captain Harmanpreet Kaur also aimed to bat first and confirmed Yastika Bhatia’s return to the playing eleven. The pitch for the Eliminator is expected to be conducive to fast bowlers with low bounce.
