Yash to star in ‘Toxic,’ marking the first large-scale production to be filmed in Karnataka

Mumbai, April 3 (IANS) Actor Yash-starrer upcoming film ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale For Grown-Ups’ is all set to begin its shoot in Karnataka. The film, helmed by Geetu Mohandas, known for ‘Liar’s Dice’, is currently in post-production. The shoot date is yet to be announced, with the first leg scheduled to commence in Karnataka.

The producers of the film expressed, “Due to the lack of optimal facilities, all our big films end up being shot outside the state. Yash has long expressed that concern, and to change that, we at KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations are kickstarting the shooting of ‘Toxic’ in Karnataka.”

Massive sets have already been erected in Karnataka, creating job opportunities for technicians and budding talent. The production is working towards making a film of global potential, with actors and technicians from various industries, including international talent.

Despite having options from different locations in India and abroad, the decision was made to establish the ‘Toxic’ HQ in Karnataka before shooting parts of the film in other locations. The film is being co-produced by Venkat K. Narayana’s KVN Productions and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations, and is set to release on April 10, 2025.
