Yay or Nay? Bollywood Celebs Discuss Fashion Trends and Revivals – IANS Special

New Delhi, April 7 (IANS) The line “fashions fade, style is eternal” by French designer Yves Saint Laurent holds true, as Indian personalities like Disha Patani, Manushi Chhillar, and others share their opinions on fashion trends they love and ones they hope to never see again.

Disha Patani hopes for baggy jeans to remain forever, while disapproving of the return of skinny low-waisted jeans. Manushi Chhillar desires a comeback of the ultra feminine styles from the 1950s, considering them classic and stylish. She, however, criticizes “Hammer pants” as “awful” and unflattering.

Mrunal Thakur wishes for the disco era with glitter, shimmer, and fun silhouettes to make a comeback, but opposes the return of low-rise jeans. Lakshmi Manchu prefers the simplicity of the “kurta and jeans combo” for its stylish potential, dismissing low-waisted, boot cut jeans as unflattering.

Alaya F advocates for platform heels while shunning animal prints. Style icon Orry wants to keep skinny jeans but detests poof hairstyles on girls. Actress Ayesha Kanga looks forward to reimagining bloomers but joins Disha Patani in rejecting skinny jeans.

Krishna Shroff is all in for the return of low-rise jeans popular in the 2000s, emphasizing the importance of flaunting one’s best self. She, however, shares her dislike for skinny jeans on men and trousers with a low crotch.
