Yogi govt launches helpline number for senior citizens

The Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh has recently launched the ‘Kalyan Sathi’ helpline number 14568 for senior citizens. Along with the helpline, a mobile app, an old age home portal, and a departmental quarterly magazine ‘Kalyani’ have also been introduced simultaneously.

Eligible senior citizens can now access various schemes by calling the Kalyan Sathi helpline number. The department will ensure that beneficiaries receive scheme benefits at home through the Panchayat assistant. The helpline service will be available from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on working days.

Social Welfare Minister Aseem Arun highlighted the importance of the Integrated Command Centre, where callers can seek information, assistance, and register any problems related to availing the benefits of departmental schemes through the Kalyan Sathi helpline number. The government aims to resolve issues promptly and keep beneficiaries informed about the progress.

It was reported that around 53 lakh elderly citizens are already receiving pension benefits from the department. The launch of the ‘Kalyan Sathi’ initiative is expected to streamline the process of availing benefits and address any challenges faced by senior citizens in accessing government schemes for their well-being.
