YouTuber Norme broke the record for staying awake the longest.
Norme has been live on YouTube for over 10 days, specifically 250+ hours.
Norme’s goal is to stay awake for 12 days. The current world record was set by Randy Gardner, who stayed awake for 264 hours back in 1964.

However, Guinness World Records does not consider this record anymore due to health concerns.
As Norme continues his challenge, he has started passing out, hallucinating, and becoming incoherent, which are effects of extreme sleep deprivation.
The human brain needs at least 8 hours to be completely rested and feel refreshed. Meanwhile, not sleeping for 24 hours poses risks for dizziness, low blood pressure, and blurred vision.
Here, Norme is going 10 days without sleep, which can cause permanent damage to him.
His brother Don is helping him stay awake by splashing water on him and making him stand up.
Even though viewers are asking Norme to stop the challenge, he is determined to complete it.
People on social media are very worried about Norme’s health.
