Centre working proactively to transform health sector: JP Nadda

The Central government has been actively working to enhance the healthcare sector, as stated by BJP President JP Nadda during the inauguration of new facilities at AIIMS-Bilaspur. The focus is on preventive measures, curative care, and other holistic approaches to healthcare.

Nadda highlighted the government’s efforts in expanding the AIIMS network, increasing medical colleges, and creating various healthcare initiatives. These efforts aim to improve healthcare accessibility and quality across the country. Various achievements in the health sector over the past decade were also mentioned, including reductions in TB cases, prices of stents, and the establishment of AYUSH blocks in medical institutes.

A range of new healthcare facilities such as Radiation Oncology and a Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) plant were inaugurated at AIIMS-Bilaspur. Health Minister Mandaviya emphasized the resilience of India’s healthcare system in the face of challenges posed by the pandemic, with a focus on preparedness for future health emergencies. The creation of advanced medical infrastructure aims to ensure the readiness of the healthcare sector.

The Central government’s efforts to decentralize healthcare services and establish new medical colleges and AIIMS across the country were also acknowledged by Mandaviya. The goal is to bring quality medical treatment closer to people’s homes, reducing the need for them to travel to metro cities. The initiatives reflect a commitment to improving healthcare accessibility and quality nationwide.
