PGA Tour: Wallace rallies on second nine to get into shared lead in Mexico

European stars, Matt Wallace and Sami Valimaki, along with Alvaro Ortiz and Jake Knapp, were tied for the lead at the halfway stage of the PGA Tour’s Mexico Open at Vidanta Vallarta. Wallace, with a strong track record in various countries, including India, Portugal and Germany, shot an impressive 65 to move to the top of the leaderboard.

Wallace started with a bogey but quickly recovered with birdies and an eagle to finish with a 65. Valimaki also had a solid round with seven birdies and three bogeys to stay in contention. Jake Knapp and Carlos Ortiz also made their move with strong performances to join the leaders at 11 under.
