BAI announces cash rewards of INR 1.12 crore for Asian Games, BATC success

The Badminton Association of India (BAI) has announced a cash incentive of over INR 1.12 crore for players and support staff for their success in international tournaments. This includes rewards for the Asian Games, Badminton Asia Team Championship, and BWF World Junior Championships.

The winners of the Badminton Asia Team Championship will receive INR 35 lakh, while the Asian Games gold medallists and bronze medallists will also be awarded. Additionally, players who performed well in the BWF World Championships and Asian Junior Championships will receive cash prizes.

BAI Secretary Sanjay Mishra praised the hard work and dedication of the players and support staff, stating that the cash prize is a way to acknowledge their efforts and motivate future generations. BAI will also be awarding a prize money of INR 18 lakh for the upcoming Yonex-Sunrise 45th Indian Masters National Badminton Championships.

Mishra highlighted the importance of supporting the Masters circuit in the country to attract more talented players and increase the level of competition. The support staff accompanying the winning teams will also receive cash rewards for their contributions to the players’ success.
