Pharma major Dr Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd has launched its cancer drug Versavo in the UK. This biosimilar of Avastin is indicated for the treatment of various cancers. The drug is available in strengths of 100mg and 400mg single-use vials.
According to Dr Jayanth Sridhar, Dr Reddy’s Global Head of Biologics, “The launch of Versavo in a highly regulated market underscores our capability for global clinical development of high-quality biosimilar products.”
Versavo was first launched in India in 2019 and has since been introduced in markets such as Thailand, Ukraine, Nepal, Jamaica, and Colombia under the brand name Persivia. This launch reinforces Dr Reddy’s commitment to providing more biosimilar and critical biological products to meet the unmet needs of cancer patients. The company aims to strengthen its focus on oncology and continue bringing valuable treatment options to patients worldwide.
