Rishabh Pant makes triumphant return to field after car accident, despite DC’s loss to PBKS in IPL 2024

Indian cricket fans eagerly awaited Rishabh Pant’s comeback in the IPL 2024 with Delhi Capitals against Punjab Kings after a 14-month hiatus due to a near-fatal accident. Pant returned to the field scoring 18 runs, effecting a smart stumping, and taking a catch in the match.

Pant, who had undergone several surgeries after a car crash in December 2022, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to make a comeback. Despite Delhi Capitals’ loss to Punjab Kings by four wickets, Pant was pleased to be back on the field and thanked everyone for their support.

In a post-match Instagram update, Pant expressed his love for being back on the field and vowed to give his best in upcoming matches. He emphasized the importance of continuous improvement and commitment to the game while sharing his excitement about returning to competitive cricket.

Looking ahead, Delhi Capitals will face Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur on March 28 before returning to Visakhapatnam for their match against Kolkata Knight Riders on April 3. Pant’s return has brought a renewed sense of optimism to the team as they prepare for their upcoming fixtures in the tournament.
