Suzuki Motorcycle India is gearing up to introduce the V-Strom 800DE adventure tourer to the market, set to launch on March 29, 2024. The new model replaces the V-Strom 650 and targets the middleweight adventure motorcycle segment. Suzuki showcased the V-Strom 800DE earlier at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024.
The V-Strom 800DE features a significant upgrade in design, performance, and features compared to its predecessor. It now boasts a 776 cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine generating 83 bhp and 78 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox and a bi-directional quickshifter. The new adventure tourer comes with USD forks, dual-channel ABS, and all-LED lighting.
Additionally, the V-Strom 800DE sports a 5-inch TFT digital instrument console, multiple ride modes, and traction control. Priced at around ₹10-11 lakh (ex-showroom), the bike will rival the Honda XL750 Transalp, BMW F 850 GS, Triumph Tiger 900, and Kawasaki Versys 650. Suzuki’s entry into the big bike segment marks a significant move in the Indian market, attracting adventure enthusiasts.
