New Delhi, April 5 (IANS) – The Indian men’s hockey team is gearing up for an exciting showdown against Australia in a five-match Test series, starting from Saturday in Perth. With matches scheduled on April 6, 7, 10, 12, and 13, fans can expect a display of talent and determination.

Fresh from their strong performances in the FIH Pro League 2023-24, the Indian squad, led by Harmanpreet Singh, enters the series with a formidable reputation after winning three out of four matches in Bhubaneswar and maintaining an unbeaten streak in Rourkela.

Chief Coach Craig Fulton emphasized the importance of this tour, stating, “This series serves as a litmus test for our team’s preparedness ahead of the Paris Olympics.” Captain Harmanpreet Singh expressed confidence in the team’s abilities and preparations, aiming to perform well and learn as a unit for the Paris Olympics.
