Maruti Suzuki Aims for 300,000 Exports in FY25, Sets Sights on 800,000 by 2030

Maruti Suzuki India aims to significantly ramp up its export business, targeting three lakh units in the fiscal year 2025 and projecting eight lakh units by 2030. The company plans to achieve this by launching new passenger vehicle models in over 100 countries globally.

According to Maruti Suzuki India’s Executive Director of Corporate Affairs, Rahul Bharti, the company intends to expand its distribution network and leverage its over 40 years of experience in the Indian market to boost exports. The company has seen substantial growth in exports, reaching 2.83 lakh units in the financial year 2023-24.

Bharti highlighted that Maruti Suzuki’s export strategy aligns with the Indian government’s vision to increase the country’s share of global trade. The company plans to introduce electric vehicles for exports to advanced markets like Japan and Europe starting in the fiscal year 2025, in line with its growth strategy.

Maruti Suzuki achieved record export numbers in the financial year 2023-24 with 283,067 units, a significant increase from the previous year. The company’s top export markets include South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Chile, Mexico, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Ivory Coast, with popular export models being Baleno, Dzire, Swift, S Presso, Grand Vitara, Jimny, Celerio, and Ertiga.
