The Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor, although based on a hatchback, is expected to challenge the Tata Nexon and Kia Sonet in the market. Priced between ₹7.73 lakh and ₹13.03 lakh (ex-showroom), it offers two petrol engine options – 1.2-litre and 1.0-litre turbocharged, with various transmission choices.
On the other hand, the Kia Sonet, priced between ₹7.99 lakh and ₹14.75 lakh (ex-showroom), provides two petrol and one diesel engine options. The petrol engines range from 1.2-litre to 1.0-litre turbocharged, while the diesel variant boasts a powerful 1.5-litre engine with multiple transmission options to cater to different preferences. The competition between Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor and Kia Sonet intensifies in terms of price and specifications, offering customers diverse choices in the segment.
