Mumbai Indians beat RCB by 7 wickets with Bumrah’s fifer and impressive fifties from Ishan and Surya in IPL 2024

In a thrilling match, Mumbai Indians defeated Royal Challengers Bengaluru by seven wickets. Mumbai’s exceptional batting by Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav, along with a stunning five-wicket haul by Jasprit Bumrah, led to their victory on Thursday in Match 25 of Indian Premier League 2024.

Kishan and Yadav’s explosive half-centuries, along with Bumrah’s exceptional bowling, allowed Mumbai Indians to chase down RCB’s total of 196/8 with ease. This match marked the first instance in T20 cricket history where three batters scored half-centuries and a bowler took a fifer in the same innings.

The Wankhede Stadium witnessed a display of powerful and strategic cricket as Bumrah’s toe-crushing yorkers and slow deliveries troubled RCB’s batters. Mumbai Indians’ strong performance showcased their capability to handle high-scoring games, as they achieved their 50th win at the Wankhede Stadium.

Ishan Kishan’s explosive batting in the Power-play set the tone for Mumbai, racing to 72 runs in the first six overs. His quickfire half-century, supported by Rohit Sharma’s steady innings, paved the way for Suryakumar Yadav to continue the onslaught, ultimately securing Mumbai’s victory with his 17-ball fifty.
