IPL 2024: Hyderabad’s Head smashes fastest century in IPL history, fourth fastest overall

Travis Head set a new record for Sunrisers Hyderabad by scoring the fastest century in the IPL against Royal Challengers Bangalore. The Australian cricketer reached the milestone in just 39 deliveries, breaking David Warner’s previous record.

Playing at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Head went on a attacking spree scoring nine fours and eight sixes on his way to the century. Despite his incredible performance, he was dismissed after reaching 102 off 41 deliveries by Lockie Ferguson.

This remarkable feat by Head makes it the fourth fastest century in IPL history, with only Chris Gayle, Yusuf Pathan, and David Miller ahead of him. He surpassed his compatriot Warner’s record of a 43-ball century set in 2017 against Kolkata Knight Riders.
